Routine X-Rays

Routine Dental X-rays are typically recommended every 2 years; nevertheless, individuals at increased risk of dental issues may necessitate more frequent monitoring.

These X-rays play a crucial role in enabling a comprehensive view inside the teeth, aiding in the early detection of potential problems like infections or decay. Various types of X-rays offer distinct insights, which are essential for formulating a personalized treatment plan based on concrete evidence for each patient.

OPG/ DPT X-ray

Sometimes larger X-rays of your entire mouth, known as an Orthopantomogram (OPG), are necessary to evaluate aspects that may not be visible on smaller X-rays. An OPG is particularly useful for assessing overall bone health, identifying issues with wisdom teeth, or catering to individuals with a sensitive gag reflex.

At Sedgemead House, we have the capability to conduct these advanced X-rays on-site. Following the imaging procedure, we will carefully examine the results with you, providing insights into our observations and recommending suitable treatment options for your future dental care.
